On behalf of the team at Pravar Group, I'd like to welcome you to Annual Lifestyle Mastermind and Awards Weekend in Hamilton Island.

Below is the agenda for the weekend.  There are also helpful information at the bottom of the page about Baby Sitters (names provided by Hamilton Island), restaurants, Hamilton Island app etc.

We have put a hold on a number of accomodation rooms at a discounted rate.  Here is the Accommodation Booking Page.  There are also a number of accomodation options, such as 2 or 3+ bed apartments etc if you don't want to stay at Reef View.

This is a partners included weekend. It is an opportunity for the both of you to take some time out together from your day to day worlds and celebrate with the rest of the group on the year that has been. Remember this is a business trip for you and your partner.  If you did decide to have your family there for a holiday post the weekend, please ensure you arrange sitting services for when the partners only planned events are scheduled for Thursday welcome drinks, Saturday night awards night and farewell drinks on Sunday afternoon (with the exception of kids under 12 months as they are often Mum dependant).

We can't wait to celebrate what has been an incredible Financial Year for you all.

Meet & Greet Sunset Drinks (Clients & Partners)


Meet and greet drinks is an opportunity to catch up before we kick off the formalities of the weekend. Join us, with your partner at the Marina Tavern with cold beer on tap, wine in the fridge and and an amazing view of the harbour in the background.


Drinks at your own expense.

Client Conference

The Power of this Mastermind is a group of businessmen, with a common Vision, who come together to challenge each other to step up and play a bigger game, through Celebration, Collaboration & Community.


The intention of the first half of Thursday is to celebrate your successes from 2022 Financial Year and then support / challenge each other to solve your greatest problem holding you back (either personal or business) through input and advice from each other.  

  • Start time: 8am for a 8.15am start. Finished by: 4.30pm
  • Conference Room: Ketch and Cutter rooms - Yacht Club
  • Attire for the day: Loud Shirt & casual clothes
  • What to bring: Wins/challenges, laptop and a notebook.
  • Morning tea & lunch are provided for the day.

Please make sure you come prepared for the Wins & Successes Session.  For some of you, you will have some great business wins, others will have some great personal wins, others will have both. Remember, they are your wins, so be proud of what you have achieved and who you have become in the process.


Client Feature Session: This session is an integral part of the Mastermind weekends.  It is an opportunity for a client from within the group to share their story and inspire those in the group to achieve greater levels of success.  This quarter we are going to be hearing from Rob Smedley from Smedley Engineers.


Training Session: There will be a training sessions in the afternoon from Rob who will be speaking on 'BE'ing the Leader you were Destined to Be'.


Raise money for TIACS: To round out the day, we will be taking the clippers to Aaron Millers beard to raise money for TIACS.  It has been some 25 years that Aaron has been growing this beard, so let's dig deep and raise money for a worthy cause.

Client Loud Shirt Day

Loud Shirt Thursday is an initiative that was born from within members of the Mastermind to make a stance against the stigma around mental health issues.  We are making it clear that as a man it isn’t weak to speak up about the things that are going on in our lives.  


We know that 'Together we are Stronger', that you need good people around you who are going to be there, not only when you're winning, but when the chips are down.  That's what makes this family so powerful.


I wonder who is going to get the Chump Jacket?

Partner's Lunch 

While the Mastermind is completing their activity, come meet the other partners for an informal get together for a casual lunch and/or drink.  


This is a chance to meet the others in the group and socialise so you're not on your own for the weekend.  Bring the kids if they're with you.


Food and Drinks at your own expense.


Venue: Sails Restaurant (Catseye Beach)

Time: 1pm

Thursday Night

Thursday night is free time.  As a group, it is an opportunity for everyone to grab a beer / wine / feed together and enjoy each others company and celebrate the year that has been.

Friday 22nd July, 2022

Client Conference -> Training Day

Back into the conference room we go for day 2, Training Day.  We will have 2 training sessions to further develop your skillset and mindset to become the leader you were destined to be, before we head out for a hike to Coral Cove for a bit of fun together before the Awards Night.

  • Start time: 8am for a 8.15am start.  Finished by: 3pm
  • Conference Venue: Ketch and Cutter rooms - Yacht Club
  • Attire for the day: Casual
  • What to bring: Your laptop and a notebook
  • Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are provided for the day

Training Sessions: There will be 2 training sessions on the Friday from Dan who will be speaking on leadership and building high performing teams.


Important note:  We have arranged take away lunch boxes.  You wont have time to drop stuff back at your room, so please come prepared to the conference to head straight out for a hike to Coral Cove.  That means bring a back pack of your stuff and no need to bring laptops on the Friday. 

Client FunDay - > Hike to Coral Cove

FunDay is all about building the bonds and friendships amongst the members of the Mastermind. 


We are going for a hike in the afternoon, enjoying the scenery of Hamilton Island and go for a swim / kick of the footy in the Cove.


What to bring: Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, camera and $ for additional drinks, towel, boardies, water

Annual Awards Dinner

Congratulations on another fantastic year. The awards dinner is a night to celebrate everyone's achievements and recognise a select few with the Pravar Group Awards. 

  • Awards venue: Bommie Deck, Yacht Club
  • Pre-dinner drinks and canapés: 5pm sharp
  • Group photo will be at 5.15pm, please don't be late for the sunset group photo.
  • Dinner attire: Cocktail
  • Awards dinner concludes at 10pm
  • There will be a bar at the resort open until midnight for those who want to kick on for a few more.

Awards up for grabs: The Toolie, The Transformation, The Bevan, The Turnaround, The Rainmaker.


The awards night will include; Canapés, drinks and a 2 course dinner.   We have arranged a 4.5 hour drinks package (soft drink, beer and wine) for the event, spirits can be purchased on the night at your own expense.

Gear up for the final day of the Mastermind. Hopefully there won't be any sore heads... Bring an open mind and be ready to challenge yourself and others to take your business and life to a whole new level.

  • Start time: 8.45am for a 9am start.  Finished time: 2pm
  • Conference Venue: Ketch and Cutter rooms - Yacht Club
  • Attire for the day: Casual
  • What to bring: Your laptop and a notebook
  • Morning tea and lunch are provided for the day.

Training Sessions: There will be 3 training sessions on the final day.  Rob will be talking about developing the Culture within your business.  Gav will will be speaking on 'How to hold your team Accountable in a tough labour market'.  Finally Rob will round out the weekend with a mindset conversation on 'Three words that create Transformational Change'.

Farewell Drinks

There's no better way to top off a Mastermind weekend than with a final farewell drink with everyone.


Invite your partners along to celebrate a wonderful weekend together before everyone goes their separate ways.  


Join us at one of the best spots on the Island to watch the sunset and have a drink with the Mastermind.


There's a Bar that serves drinks or an IGA at the Marina in town if you want to BYO.  Drinks at your own expense.

  • Hamilton Island App for all your Island booking needs.
  • Should you wish to hire a Buggy it's suggested you pre-book these (you can do this via the app). We recommended you pair with another client to reduce costs. There are shuttles which run to and from the Yacht Club for the Conference or it's a short 1km walk from Reef View. There is limited buggy parking at the Yacht Club Marina for the Mastermind conference.
  • There are complimentary shuttle's (blue and green) which operate around the island. See the operating times, timetable and stops here. (Blue- around the island, Green- Marina area & back to Reef View)
  • Babysitting services should you require them.
  • If there are any restaurants you wish to dine it, it is recommended to book which can be done via the app or here
    • Most kitchens close by 9pm and sometimes earlier if they have no late bookings so be aware. Call the restaurant directly for bookings made on the same day after 4pm.
