Ensure that you have provided sufficient training across the board for your team, and that they are comfortable with the processes and procedures. Training can be a great way to guide your team into success through confidence building.
Set Parameters
Provide clear guidelines for your team to adhere to, so that everyone is one the same level. This can include tasks and rules, so tailor it to your workspace. If you have established rules and deadlines beforehand, there is an unconscious marker set in your employees heads to work towards that date.
It also clears up any possible issues without them being escalated to you, as people can refer back to the guidelines.
Use Praise to Empower
Praise is a powerful motivator, and it also builds confidence incredibly quickly. Good business management requires you to be in the thick of it with your team, so that you know when to award praise to a job well done. This positivity feeds into self-confidence and, as a result, overall performance.
Money — The Traditional Incentive
If you have the means, money is the one true motivator in business. Whether it’s a tip, raise or bonus, reward a good action sufficiently, and more good actions will follow. Better yet, using a bonus scheme can incentivise your team to reach higher targets and improve their self-confidence dramatically.
Having a successful business relies heavily on your staff’s success. By applying some pressure, praise and financial incentives to your workforce, they will be confident enough to attain a higher level of success.
Once you have incentivised them to do well, they will have a fire in their belly to do more for your business.
